Well, I'm a little late posting this but its better to be late than pregnant.

This is the only bird I've shot so far due to my busy law school schedule and my buddy's wedding.

Anyways, I was able to put the mohecan sneakin' on this bird and busted him about 10 minutes before flying up to roost. I'd hunted hard all day and just couldn't seal the deal for various reasons. I had a bird at 20 yards the day before but apparently my gun felt sorry for the bird and all I heard was "click" when I squeezed the trigger.

I decided to open this guys crop to see what he has been munching on. I was quite amazed after I pulled out 70 full-size acorns!

Since I was alone, I was only able to snap a pic of this ol' bird's spurs:

Looks good! What kind of acorns, white oaks or possibly the big Chestnut oaks???

THAT is why i hate turkeys. acorn eating feathered rats.
