Took my bow to the local bow shop to have my new bucknasty string put on and have them install my G5 tubeless peep, they charged me $20 to do this..I was thinking more in the line of $10...Does $20 seem right or does it seem to high? Anyway, man that bucknasty string sure looks good and that blue tubeless peep just add's to the coolness also..I got camo colors to match my bow..Looks awesome..

I do all my own work, so really don't know what the average charge would be. However, for installing a string you didn't get from them and also a peep if you didn't get it from them, thats about right I would say. They shouldn't charge you to put on a string you got from them but I would rather get a Bucknasty and pay them to put it on.

That's a good deal for sure. Many bow shops have gone to a $40 setup fee from what I've seen.

Yep, if it goes in the press it's at least $20. The shop just can't afford to do it for less. He is assuming all the responsibility, and for that he has to charge you.

$20, although actually a fair price, is why everyone that is serious about archery should buy a press and learn to do stuff their self. At $20 a pop, it wouldn't take long to pay for one. Especially a portable press. Also, working on your own bows is fun. If you live out in the country like me. You can have most stuff done in less than the time it would take you to drive to a pro shop.
