Anyone else hitting low? I hit at least 8" low at 40 yds....patterns great.....guess I have to aim at the head......definitely putting a scope back on this beast.

Mine was shooting low also in an 870. I had switched from fiber optic sights to a low power scope, and was able to dial it in.

Mine shoot high compared to the magblends I shot in the 12 gauge actually

Well I feel better....was thinking maybe I was doing something wrong.....just odd having to aim over a birds head and not at his neck.....scope will fix that.

Be careful I shot a tom yesterday and the next shell in the tube came apart. The end where the crimp is came apart, you could see the resin and pellets. Sent an email to Winchester but haven't heard back from them yet

I haven't seen that yet....but I did have one not fire when I patterned the gun.....at $2 a shell, I would expect it to go bang. Good luck with hearing back from them......I remember my gun going click on a black bear up in Alaska....and was glad it wasn't charging. I guess when things are mass produced, this is what happens.

The first year I started seriously patterning various "turkey" loads with a scoped shotgun & different choke tubes, I was amazed (and very frustrated) at the variances from one load to another. IMO, when shooting tight-patterning loads/chokes, an optical sight becomes almost as important on a turkey gun as on a deer rifle.

Much as with various rifle loads, shotguns with "turkey" loads can have very different points of impact, one turkey load vs. another.

Yes the 3.5" hit low.

3" mag blends and 3" longbeard #5s hit the same for me, but for whatever reason 3.5" longbeard #5 shoots low and left. I have a scope, so if i start shooting the 3.5" again, i will dial it in.

My Mossburg 835 was shooting severely left before I put a red dot scope on it and dialed it in with the LB's. I think it maybe rare that a gun will shoot perfectly without a scope.
