I checked my gun one more time this evening. Have just enough shells left to hunt me from the box of 3" 6's I was using.
About a month ago I grabbed another box of the 6's and also some 4&5 shot to experiment with.
Well I started to shoot one of the new box of 6 and I picked up a shell and it rattled bad!
I went through the whole box and every single one rattles and I'm not talking a little.
I'm scared to try them because I feel they won't perform correctly.
Would you contact Winchester about them?
I think they should replace them for me.
What should I do?

Re: Longbeard problem.

Give them a call. They would want to know about quality issues with that Lot #.
I wouldn't shoot them.

Re: Longbeard problem.

I have the same problem with 3" #6s LBs that I bought a couple of weeks ago. You can hear loose shot rattling around in them. Seems the "shot lock" isn't working. I went with the LBs last year because of wad problems I was having with Heavy Shot and now this. Ammo quality control sucks anymore!!!

One of the big reasons I decided to start making my own. I would call Winchester, but I wouldnt hold my breath waiting for replacements.

Sitting here with my gun loaded with 3 1/2" #5's and one spare in my pocket. Shook the spare and she's tight as a tick thankfully. Definitely call them.

These are what I use and haven't seen these issues.
