Check your area out again right after the turkey opener. You may find more fresh rubs and scrapes because new antler growth is linked to a surge in testosterone and it'll look like the rut is about to start again.

Thanks for the info. I wasn't aware of that! Will give it a look. They cleaned out their scrapes (about 30) pretty much every other day this seadon so it's likely they will again. Can't believe we didn't get one of them, but it is what it is. They'll be bigger next year :)
