Probably hurts more than others since he was expected to contribute and UT has lost 3 TE since fall.

A Gator one day and a Vol the next.... :)

Who expected him to contribute? 6th or 7th on the DC. Won't matter, good luck to him.

So the VOLS still have there top Two tight ends (Alex Ellis) And (ethen wolf) and like 3 other tightends on the DC but this is a big loss for the vols?

Redshirt Freshman Neiko creamer, sophomore Jakob Johnson just moved to TE, and the Vols also have two walk on TEs including ethen wolf's brother.

AJ at best would have been the 4th string TE behind Alex, ethen, And Neiko.

"Losing this expected high-impact TE, Tennessee's options there suddenly don't look so strong"

"After sophomore Ethan Wolf and senior backup Alex Ellis, there are three walk-on tight ends available. That's not exactly the depth Butch Jones and his staff were hoping for this season. The Vols have even moved Jakob Johnson — who played on defense last year — to tight end to try to help alleviate the shortage they have there."

Neiko is a walk on? I don't think so he will be 3ed string :tu:

Same thing can be said about Florida after Adam Lane left? Florida only has 3 HBs on scholarship two are true freshman :tu:

So UF is now gonna use Powell who switched to receiver in the spring, and yes A walk on Mark herndon

I don't remember the vols relying much on tight ends. Still sucks to lose good players but this won't set them back much if at all.
If Vandy lost their tight end,... Different story. Especially in last years offense, if you can call that an offense. More like offensive. :)

It sucks to lose him but he would have been fourth on the depth chart this season with two TEs committed for 2016, kid saw that there wasn't going to be any playing time available.
