I cant seem to get into it like I used to . I haven't watched the last 10 races . It just doesn't seem as exciting as it used to be for me . Most of the races are boring . I'd much rather watch the NFL .
Anyone else feel the same way about the sport ?

Yeah, I think that it is true with just about anything. As you get older and as time goes on, your interests change, and the zeal that you once had for certain sports or activities is not as sharp as it once was. Also, in NASCAR, as in other sports, drivers that "you" have followed for years, are either no longer a factor or have retired (or died), and we can't connect with anyone in particular in the new generation.

I've lost interest also. I may have watched one whole race all year. To me its not as good as it used to be. Seems like its just follow the leader. Also, the fact that I don't like any of the drivers in real contention for the championship isn't helping anything.

I don't watch the whole race like I use to, but it seems like they race every weekend for 11 months. There's almost too much racing and I'm still not a huge fan of the new cars. They seem to make some of the races pretty boring to watch on TV.

I can say the same thing I used to be glued to the the TV every Sunday up until 3 to 4 years ago. I havent watched a whole race this year, just the bits and pieces while flipping channels. Boring plain and simple but I guess the Nascar big wigs know what they are doing.

It's just too hard to stay glued to the TV for 4-5 hours , especially during hunting season . I'd rather see them shorten some of the races similar in length to the Nationwide series . Keep a few 500 mile races , and throw in more short races .

i still watch it every sun. with friends and family. each of us has a driver we root for. i've been a nascar fan for a long time and will admit it gets boring on the cookie cutter tracks.

I dont think Nascar is getting it. They are losing fans and they only have themselves to blame they have made the sport boring, by trying to control the drivers tempers and the way they drive.

Ditto !! I'm also not a fan of the Chase, it's a screwed up system that awards drivers who contend for 1/2 of a season only.

ditto,mike243

I've always been a fan in the early part of the season, but it get old quickly and I don't have the time to sit down and watch

I think they should move the Daytona 500 to the last race of the season . It's like having the super bowl before the season starts now . I don't care for the cookie cutter 1-1.5 mile tracks . Boring !

I still like it, but I must admit that I too am becoming a little bored with it and I don't care for the cahse format either.
someone is going to have to get better in the last 10 races or Jimmie will win 20 championships!!

They need more Bristol's!!!!!!

I am so disappointed with Bristol races anymore. Sincethey worked on the track and created another groove of racing... personally, Bristol isnt what is used to be, nor what it should be!

I guess I've hit that 'over the hill' gang, cause I don't watch a complete race and haven't for a few years now.

Ditto! They try to be "Politically correct" nowadays. I used to love it when I was a kid (early-mid 90's). I was a big Darrel Waltrip fan , cause my dad was. Now it seems like a lot of city folks race. I'll bet half of them don't even know how to work on their own cars. I haven't watched an entire race on tv for years. I usually go to Talledega with my father-in-law once a year and thats it.

I think the thing that ticked me off so much was when they got too GOOD to be WINSTON CUP.

just took the air out of the balloon and showed a lot of folks what nascar was becoming.....a money sport....and to think the whole thing started out as moonshine deliveries. :)
