Lost my spot

That happened to me a few years ago. A week before the season. Owners wife said I was walking up the kids by driving up a lane 500 yards away from their house. I got it back though.

Well I'll have a place to go next year because I'll have a lease where I'll be able to turkey hunt too, but I didn't have the turkey rights where I deer hunted this last season so I was depending on this spot

I feel your pain. I got a phone call this weekend from a local land grabber that he had just leased the farm that I had permission to deer and turkey hunt on. Now, I really don't have a place to hunt. I guess money really does talk.

I hate hearing stuff like this, and have had it happen to me so many times I can't even count. I realized years ago unless you own the dirt you can lose hunting spots at the drop of a dime. Even when you own the dirt you can have an ice storm come through and wipe out your woods like I just has happen in Georgia.

Hope something comes through before the season gets in

that sucks bad. we have had it happen to us, but luckily found other spots fairly quick hope you get something lined up before season.

It is a stressful position to be in.

But, on the bright side, sometimes it takes something like this to provide the motivation to find somewhere else, and it could turn out to be better.

My dad & I lucked into our middle TN spot just by him bumping into a fellow he knew at the high school state basketball tournament three years ago. Between games, they got to talking, and out of the blue we now have access to several pieces of property.

Good luck!
