This last weekend I seen them everywhere I went hunting. I did see hens with toms but 2 or 3 the most. I just could not get on any close birds this weekend. So hopefully the lonely Toms will start coming to the call by next weekend.

Yep hens are nesting. Bumped one off the nest yesterday.
am seeing more then 80% increase in single and double hens over the past 10 days here in Middle TN.
the next 10-15 days of hunting weather permitting should be very good.

I too saw lots of lone hens this weekend. Opening day I saw 15 birds in a group. One gobbler and maybe 3 jakes. The rest hens. Now its more like one gobbler and 1-4 hens.
