I bought me a Moultrie D55IR to use while im waiting for my bushnell to return from the factory for warranty repairs. After I got it and I set it up in the house for a couple hours just to test the function and it works good takes very nice pics, and has a decent trigger speed, but when the camera triggers to take a pic,you can actually hear it.I guess its the auto focus,it makes a plastic clunking sound. You have to be listening for it to hear it,but its there. I don't like it at all, because I know the deer will hear it.Anyone else have a "loud" camera?

It is not the autofocus. It is the arm that holds the IR filter "clunking" as it moves over the lens. Many camera models have this problem, and it WILL alert deer.

Thats just what I was thinking. You know I read all the reviews on cabelas and bass pro and not one reviewer mentioned the loud clunking noise. Wonder If i just got a bad one.

You need to read the reviews on game camera sites like chasing game etc... They test cameras for consumers to read about...
The major stores sell cameras, and then the consumers find out :(
