My fishing partner upgraded his last weekend. Now when he hits the button on the trolling motor the screen goes crazy.

it would have been good if they had color coded the sonar returns similar to humminbirds 2d fish id plus feature. maybe a patent conflict. would have been an easy way to pinpoint fish on one screen. you could just do a split screen with a 200khz 2d and 455 khz di and tell you the same info as those colored fish returns and even calculate where those fish are in relation to your boat.
anyhoo, gonna be interesting for lowrance and garmin as they have done a broad cross patent and intellectual property exchange in their 3 year lawsuit settlement. BUT, they are very tight lipped on the details and may very well never know.
