I normally prefer an exciting offensive game but that was one of the best games I have seen in a while.
I haven't seen lsu play this year but they were impressive for sure.
They had the game plan to beat Alabama but that tide defense is just amazing.
If the quarterback for Alabama improves his passing they really are gonna be hard to beat for the next few years.

I love defensive slugfests like that. With talented, explosive players on both sides of the ball, you're just one play away from a potential game winner every snap.
I'm sure there are a bunch of boys in Tuscaloosa and Baton Rouge who woke up sore this morning :super:
Great game!

I love good defensive performances, but as an Alabama fan it was tough to watch because it had me on edge until about 3 mins left in the 4th quarter.

Alabama's D seems to be getting a lot of credit, but LSU deserves a ton as well. They stopped Alabama inside the 2 or 3 yard line on 4th and goal twice and held Bama to zero points for over 3 quarters, forced a fumble and intercepted a ball. LSU just didn't have the offense to complement their defense.

What's interesting from your list are the records vs teams on your list --

OSU 2-0 (away)
ALA 1-0 (home)
CLEM 1-0 (home)
TAMU 1-1
Lville 0-1
AUB 0-1

Imagine that.

Any more evidence of the confirmation bias?

Sorry, but that isn't my list. Its ESPN's list. I suppose you still want to make the argument that ESPN is subject to confirmation bias? :?

http://www.espn.com/college-football/playoffPicture

Here is their explanation:

SOS: Strength of schedule played, from perspective of an average FBS team.
SOR: Strength of record - Reflects chance that an average Top 25 team would have team's record or better, given the schedule.
GC: Game control - Reflects chance that an average Top 25 team would control games from start to end the way this team did, given the schedule.
FPI: Football Power Index that measures team's true strength on net points scale; expected point margin vs average opponent on neutral field. *FPI is updated daily in the current week.
