Well my eyesight isn't getting better as I get older so I decided to try Lumenok's to get a better idea of my shot placement.

I spent time looking up which color I liked, install video's, and made sure I had an arrow they listed as compatable.

I picked up some last night and they are so tight on my Cabela's Stalker Extreme. I have found all sorts of tips if they are loose, but nothing if they are tight and I'm talking REALLY tight.

Any tips on how to fix this?

this may be a dumb question, but are you sure you bought the right ones for your arrows?

I bought some nocturnals a while back and accidentally bought the wrong ones and they were very tight also.

Yeah I double and triple checked that my arrows were listed for the Standard "S" nock. even had the salesmen at the shop check thier lists.

Take some sand paper or a small file to the nock part of it and do a LITTLE at a time til it fits. You want those things to be a little snug. If those little metal pieces don't make connection with the shaft...then you just paid for a heavy nock end on your arrow with no benefit because it wont light up and if it does, it probably wont stay lit after impact.

I bought a 3 pack of the Lumenoks and out of a dozen arrows, I found 1 that the nock fit was consistent enough to turn on every time I shot it, and stay on. The Nockturnal's fit a LOT better out of the pack; haven't had to file on one yet. Not had one fail to turn on yet either.

I just got off the phone with them and they gave me 2 options:

1) Along the edge of the nock there are some raised spots, trim 1 a very small amount and try to fit it in. If still tight shave another of those spots. Till it fits. Mkae sure not to over shave, .001 at a time with a razor blade.

2) They said to roll some sand paper and give the inside the arrow a light sanding. there maybe imperfections there causing the issues.

I'll have to look at it when I get home. Headed to the airport to visit Tennessee for a few days. I just wanted it all done with bow hunting starting here in Wisconsin next weekend.
