lumenok

It didn't affect my arrow placement bt it has kept me from losing as many arrows and actually helped me find a deer a couple of years back.

Didn't effect mine either, its easy to follow the arrow during its flight, and shows where and if you hit a deer. Worth every penny to me

I don't use the lumenok, but last year I did use the Nocturnals. Regardless of if I used broadheads or field tips, my point of impact was slightly higher at all yardages when I use them versus a standard nock.

I use the red lumenoks and love em'. I used the green ones for the longest time. But the red noks are far more visible.
The noks didn't change anything in terms of arrow flight. However they do weigh nearly 30gn. All mine weigh between 26gn and 29gn. Not enough to effect the speed IMO. At 70yd the noks are highly visible, both colors.

Those of you that use lighted nocks...which ones are the best quality?

Just based on what I have read the nocturnals appear to have better user reviews, in other words less negative comments. I think it is because they weigh less than their competition and they are also the only ones that use a linear switchno magnet needed for activate the light. I did use them for the first time last year and was pleased. However, the light doesn't stay lit as long as the other nocks and they don't flash like other ones. The battery does last around 10 hours though. I just found fewer minuses with these compared to the other, but I suggest you continue to do your own research, which is obviously what you have begun to do.

I used Luminocks last year and really liked them. No noticable difference in the shot.

Interested in reading this. I have one that I'll try for awhile out to 70 yards. The added weight on the back in has always scared me.

I would never shoot at anything but a bag at that range. But hey, aim small, miss small! Right?

Magnets? What magnets? Lumenoks don't use magnets! If you look closely at the pics above you can see the 2 wires that stick out from underneath the actual nok that contact the carbon/aluminum to make the connection for the LED inside the nok.

Before going with the red lumenoks this year. I used my green ones for nearly 3 years and they still shine bright as the day I got em. That's 50 arrows a day at the bag, and several weeks every year during the hunt! I'd dare to say that would most likely add up to be WAY more than 10 hours!

Ok so I bought a 3pack of the red Nocturnals. So far so good. All three of them turned on and off as advertised and hit right on at 20yards. Gonna wait till it cools off a bit and go out and shoot further distances.

i have been using the luminocks for several years. there will always be at least 1 equipped arrow in my quiver.

I clearly stated the batteries of the nockturnals lasting ten hours, and if you would have completely read the post you would have noticed that. As far as how the lumenoks are activated, I personally had no idea, hence the reason I clearly stated for him to do his own research--it has been a long time since I read up on them. However, I just researched for myself and the lumenoks do have use a linear switch so thank you for correcting me--I was wrong. However, like I previously stated--it would be beneficial for him to do his own research and read all of the reviews and product information for himself and make a decision that he feels what is best for him--not solely based on what you, I or anyone else states in our subjective posts.

You're right you did clearly state the Nockturnals last 10 hours, and I clearly stated that the Lumenoks last a lot longer!
Maybe YOU should be the person reading something more clearly instead of taking things to heart!

Who makes nockturnals? I think I may try them out.

EDIT: NM, Nockturnal make Nockturnals
