Well guys he finally showed with ten mins left of shooting light left. As he approached to around 35 yards I took a hard quartering too shot. The shot felt great but I was unable to locate and blood due to light so I backed out needless to say it's gonna be a sleepless night... say a lil prayer that this deer is found or either unharmed. I am a emotional wreck right now
 
With a muzzleloader, right? What kind of bullets are you shooting?

Last buck I shot was with muzzleloader. 100 yard shot, felt perfect. Got down and couldn't find a drop of blood anywhere. I crawled around on my hands and knees for an hour. Finally got up and started slow half circles in the direction he went. After about 100 yards I saw him laying dead through the woods. Shot was good, but hit offside shoulder and the bullet lodged in. No exit, and not much blood.

I bet you find him in the morning.
 
I'm shooting the 250gr shockwaves .. from the angle of the shot I could very easily see how there could be no blood and I pray you are right! Also I killed another 8 pt on Monday while I was at Potts the processor I met a man who happened to have a tracking dog of whom I've already sent a message and have lined up if I need him
 
I bet you find him. Muzzleloaders are nitorious for that. Very small entrance hole and sometimes not an exit. Iv seen many deer barely even bleed from them and most don't start bleeding good until after 100 yards.
 
I sent TomBanks a message hopefully he calls I wanna bring a dog in to be for certain. The limb would have been about a foot from my barrel but I don't smell the powder like I feel I should not do I see black powder residue like I would expect. I just wanna make for sure so if you have a good dog close to coffe county please give me a call.

Hopefully that limb was not hit by the bullet. Keep us posted, hope to see kill pics soon!
 
You may've hit the limb. I shot a .50 Maxi-Hunter through a 3" diameter cedar once and missed a good deer a few years ago. IT HAPPENS...........
