So I just took my General in to get all my strings and cables served and new d loop material, heck I even bought some 2 blade blood runners with practice heads. Get the bow home, had it laying on the tables and I was checking the broadheads. Sooooo.... My 3 year old decides hes going to completely try and take me off my feet with his dumptruck. Hits me and causes me to try and grab for the closest thing possible. Guess what happens??? Blade hits the cable!!

So anyone got suggestions on bow strings?? Im not sure if you can just buy cables or not for Bowtech hut thats all I really need.

And yes, he was put in time out......

Doesn't sound like to big a deal. I've cut my bow strigs before with my broadheads on accident. Just get it restringed.

If he can form tackle the way he hit me with that truck, he's going to make one heck of a linebacker!!

I've got a 2005 liberty and have experienced with a few different strings and eventually came back to factory strings. The bows are made and tuned to those strings. My theory is that the bow will be at its most effecient with factory strings.

I understand your pain though, a week and a half ago I noticed a splinter coming up on my top limb. I had to order it through Bentons and they said it would be about 2 weeks. I don't know about strings but it would probably be around the same. Some places may have them in stores but I can't ever find them.

I stay with factory string and cabels for my bowtechs. You should be able to order just the cable through a dealer.

I got a set of strings off the internet from Korbins Archery in Texas. He uses the best material out there BCY 452x and they are pre stretched with 350 lbs for 24 hrs. To my door cost me 54.89. I got red and black and man is it sexy!! I will get some pics up here later. He was a real pleasure to deal with and my strings arrived exactly 1 week after ordering. Heres his website. If anyone is in the market for some, check him out.
