You don't have to take boring pictures!!! Put your cam somewhere where animals are doing something interesting. Or an easier shot can be had by forcing them into doing something interesting.

If there's a place where deer jump over a fence, put a cam there to get deer jumping.

Scrape some wet dog food on a tree trunk about 5 feet up to make a predator climb up on two legs to lick it. Something sweet will make deer do the same thing. Or peanut butter.

Put your attractor scent on a log that lays several feet above ground to get the bobcat walking across the log.

In this case, I just put a few chunks of meat on top of the trail cam to get a series of pics. that tells a pretty cool story.

By the way, if anyone thinks this red fox is afraid of the white light flash, think again!

Nice job Gil. I am very impressed. How is your new unit working??

It's working great thanks to you. It's already taken over a hundred quality fox and yote pics. A couple days ago, I took it to my hunting property and set it up in a hot bobcat spot overlooking a fallen tree with scent on top of the suspended trunk. I'll check it in a couple weeks and post the results.

Hey even cooler is that I got rid of the flash bleed on my other cam by painting the inside edges where the flash and lens hole were cut out like you said. I just used a Sharpie marker, and it only took a few seconds to fix a problem that had been killing me for years. I really appreciate your help.

Excellent shots.

Here's where I would take it from there.I would maybe tie the fence wire down about a foot to try to induce jumping even more. Then, put your cam much closer to the action. Affix it about a foot off the ground and pointing upward to get a unique angle making the deer look gargantuan and high-flying. You'll need to test it out beforehand to make sure you get the whole deal in the frame. Just some thoughts.

I like the fence jumping pics myself. Heres a lil buck I got jumping one as well.
