I had it to an archery shop Tuesday evening. Noted that a cam had a burr at the edge of it's channel and the string had a fray there. They fixed that and I decided to wait till after season to replace the string....bad idea. Yesterday morning, on the third practice shot, at full draw, the string broke and the bow just exploded into a twisted pile of parts. That'll rattle you, it's not something you'll ever want to experience. Some part(s) of it actually hit my face, cut my nose and the side of my face. It even snapped the arrow in two, the rear half was part of the mass of parts and the front part I found way out in the yard.

Had it happen to me once on a bow that was less than three weeks old. Even after it was fixed I couldn't bring myself to shoot it with any confidence so I sold it.

Glad you're OK. If you're the original owner you shouldn't have any problems getting it repaired under warranty...at least I didn't.

Glad it didn't get you worse than it did.

I had one of my old High Countrys have string break on me at full draw. I had a huge whelt(sp) on the side of my face! It still makes me mad!

my youth bow came apart on me once, string just slipped out somehow, tech put it back on the press and strung it back up, but it was at mid draw when it happened, it was a different experience for sure though
