I am looking to replace my whisker biscuit with a drop away on my mathews bow , I was going to use a rip cord because I have had one and it worked well but today I was in the bow shop and he had a mathews drop away , so I am looking for feed back on them ?

The Mathews rest works well, but I prefer a full containment rest for hunting. Personally, I would stick with a ripcord--easy to install, tune and full containment as you already know.

X2
only thing i dont like about the mathews rest and the rip cord for hunting purposes is if you have to let down from full draw the rest dont stay up and could rist spooking your game i have had both worked great but since i have used a QAD i want go back.

The Mathews Drop Away is a good rest, great for tournaments but I don't like for hunting like TNDeerguy said. Ripcord is good With all the new problems arising out of the new QAD's I'm a afraid of them for the time being. I am a huge fan of the Limbdriver Pro V. Full containment and you can guarantee clearance on every shot just by looking at the rest. If it doesn't drop either the rest is broken or the bow just broke.

Which Mathews rest was it? I have a Downforce on all my bows and LOVE them. Mathews also partnered with QAD this year and came out with the Mathews Ultra rest which is a full containment rest.

Don't know much about the Matthews rest but i have the qad ultra rest and have had no problems out of it. But like they have said the rip cord is also a great rest. I think you'll want something with full containment.

I would agree with your decision. I had a ripcord on my Q2 and had great luck with it. My monster has a downforce, and it has also been a fine rest although twice in January, I drew my bow back after I climbed into my stand, and the rest stayed down anywhere from 3 to 5 seconds before it popped up. I'm thinking about switching to a QAD for next fall.
