Just got home from the bow shop..bought a dozen beman ics hunters. I'm shooting 70# at 29.5" and he hands me 400 spine arrows. Thinking they may be a little weak? He actually gave me 11-400 spine and 1-340 on accident. Did some reading on it, but it's my first year bow hunting, so any input would be helpful...

You more than likely should be using a .300 spine. What kind of bow.

mathews drenalin...im gonna call him tomorrow and ask if he meant to grab those or if he got the wrong ones. I know he's knowledgable about it all, he's a fellow tndeer member and he does great work. I think it just slipped his mind at the time

I ran your numbers and assuming that the arrows are cut to the proper size, shaft 28.5"-29" and finished arrow is 29.5"-30", your ideal spine is .3123.340 spine is a little weak and the .400 most certainly is....I would go with a .300 spine if it were mine.
