Meigs. No gobbling this morning. Went to a flat where We heard 1 gobbling mid morning last week. Put up jake & hen decoy. Called sporadically, no gobbles. Woodpecker hollered & I made a gobble as soon as it quit. 15 minutes later heard em walking in, 3 big gobblers strutting right at the jake decoy. 1 stayed in strut, the other 2 would go in n out of strut. Strutter got right by decoy & raised head some & Mendy shot. Dropped him with no flopping, stone dead. 10 1/2 inch beard, 7/8 spurs. Didnt weigh him. About 20ish I guess. Good hunt!!
