Got home yesterday after work and running about 117 errands and decided to go fish for a little while.
Rigged up the Joker with a new float, weight and hook.
Went to the shop and got about a half a tube of crickets and took off.
Bite was alot slower than I figured it would be. I assume because of the rain recently.
Anyway, I managed to get a small bass and a 9" bream.
Then I decided to chunk the whole rig up in a tree.
Ended up breaking my line. Pissed me off so I just left and went home.
Sat on the deck with a cold drink, threw the ball to my dog and sulked.
I have been fishing literally as long as I can remember and probably a little longer than that.
It has ALWAYS made me mad when I get hung up. I guess because it is usually the result of a crappy cast.
STILL pisses me off to no end.
No telling how many times I have broken off when a little time and patience would have resulted in a better outcome.
What's odd is, when someone is fishing with me and they get hung up I immediately say, don't break it off we will go get it. (Unless we are on a hot bream bed and it will screw it up, then I will cut it and retie for them.
It doesn't bother me one single bit when they get hung up and I have to move the boat or do whatever I have to to get it out.
Me on the other hand,,,, total
I'm kinda stupid like that.
Gonna re-rig again when I get home and try it again I think.
