I don't understand the same system?? Debord ran a pro style offense he has 0 experience working in an offense that we have.

I'll give a unbiased opinion,if he were a Florida hire,gator would praise him,since he is a Tennessee hire,gator will have all the reasons why he is a bad hire :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:
 
Very disappointing if you ask me (and I think I am unbiased, not being a Gator fan and wanting the Vols to do well but not drinking any of their kool aid). Very underwhelming. How does a coach follow up two straight top 5 recruiting classes by hiring a crony? A crony that has been out of coaching for two years. A crony who last had success in 1997! He wasn't having any success at scUM in the 2000s. The sweater vest was thumping his offenses annually.

Today marks the beginning of the end for the Butch Jones regime. So sad after such a fantastic showing yesterday.

Are we firing our ol coach and let debord take over the line and we hire a qb coach?

Right now with debord we are in need of qb coach and our coaching slots are full, don't know what Jones has in mind
 
I don't know what they ran then but ALL of debord's offenses were pro style I formation power ball.

Thanks, I made this call several weeks ago on here and I was told that was crazy because Debord had been out of coaching, not the big splash, and over the girls hockey team at Mich.

I mentioned that Butch lost the only OC that he ever has and would fall back on Debord as a security blanket because he coached with Debord in the past. No one really knows if Butch made things work or his former OC did???

Here's the problem, Debord is a pro-style coach and Butch has a spread offense. This will be interesting and time will tell. The biggest reason Muschamp failed was changing OCs with different styles but trying to use the same players. Should be interesting and this could end up bad or good.... :tu:

I'm a college football fan and college football brought me to TN... :D My job got me involved with the UT football program. I can't help that I grew up in FL as a Gator fan.

If you guys moved to another state, I wouldn't expect you to change teams or talk good about a rival team. You shouldn't expect the same... :tu:

Some one had to work the ball games and hang out with the team. Also I had a boss that knew I'm a big Gator fan and played ball. He thought it would be funny that I had to give the team the stay out of jail speech. What you are not considering is that I'm not the type of cop that you picture everyday.

I know more about the team than I post on here... I just like to have fun with you guys... :tu:
