Is this what boxing has become??

Mike Tyson had to push his fight with YouTuber Jake Paul back 4 months after he had an ulcer flair up. Come on Mike, that's girlyman stuff.

When Tyson was champ he was afraid to fight Foreman. And Jake Paul got his azz beat by Tommy Fury last year.

Only in America could the marketing people get $20 to $30 million each for a washed up thug and a YouTuber. 🤣

I don't know if there's a such thing as a legitimate Jake Paul boxing match. With that being said, I still hope Iron Mike can land one of his patented vicious uppercuts. I don't expect it but one can only hope!

I would love for Tyson to win this. I just don't think he can pull it off at his age. As much as I hate Paul he has trained for a while now and is not bad. That and being pumped full of PED's gives him the advantage.

This has me puzzled. As I understand it, Netflix subscribers will be able to watch it without additional cost.

Does Netflix think they will get an influx of new subscribers?

I just don't see how this makes them money.

Oh well, I've never paid to watch a fight, and I won't have to pay to watch this one since I'm already a subscriber.

They will sell 80,000 tickets just for the seats in the stadium. Plus advertisers, plus promotions. Netflix is trying to break into live sports. They probably have plans for a "Sports Package".

They are partnered with Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) for this fight, which was founded by Jake Paul.

I believe Tyson will win. Funny you mention him being afraid, saw part of an interview where Tyson said he is "scared" ahead of every fight, that's just how he goes into his fights he channels that fear.

At this point I'll be surprised if the fight takes place. Paul is still looking to fight on the original date. Possibly a guy out of bare knuckle fighting.
Of course it will be a boxing match but an injury could keep him from fighting later in the year

Tyson is 58 years old. Even if he trains hard and gets in shape to fight he is going to be pushing his 58 year old body beyond what its suppose to be doing for a 58 year old man. Tyson is a $$$$$ Cow for selling tickets. Plain and simple.

Would not be surprised. Everytime I turn on Netflix thinking this is the month I am going to Cancel my Netflix account because there is nothing to watch they go and add some new something or another that makes me want to stay another month.

You'll probably be able to see the highlights on social media.

When/if the fight actually happens, I don't think they'll come anywhere close to selling 80k tickets; more like 20k. Why pay for tix when you can watch it for free?

I guess for the same reason they pack football stadiums when you can watch it for free at home and see what's going on 100x better. 🤣

We'll just have to see what the outcome at the stadium is.

You're right - we'll wait and see; but you really can't compare a Jake Paul fight to any NFL game
