so I posted Sat about calling in a bird for a buddy and he missed at 20yds....

well i was hired to guide a hunt this morning for a fellow. I finally located a bird despite the wind and he was workable. I set the guy up and told him what was about to happen and what to do. I worked my butt of calling that bird and he finally commited to come it.............25yds and the guy misses!!!!

what does a brother have to do to have one flop around!! lol man i cant kill the thing for them

Nothing you can do about somebody else missing, besides take'em to the range or teaching them how to control their breathing and calm down before taking the shot...but heck I've been turkey hunting for 17 or 18 yrs and I still freakin get tore up if I know I'm fixin to get a shot lol.

that is a valid point steven, just to add to the miss this morning. I find out after i take him back to the truck he had a MODIFIED CHOKE IN HIS GUN hahahaha. I was like, "a modified choke huh.....well maybe you should have let him get about 10yds out"

i offered my gun to start with but he assured me he shot his and it was good to go at 30yds....

it was fun either way but man i need to start hunting with folks that can shoot hahahah

Ren, actually you may have taught him a very valuable lesson. Seems that most of my greatest learning comes during times of miserable failure or trying to get away with something ie movement etc when I know better.

I suspect he is combing interent pages as we speak looking for a turkey choke.

Finally, hang in there. You did your job. 25 yards is all but a gift. Can't ask for much more than that from a guide, short of handing him one from Food City !

If they need a guide then they obviously arent the best hunter in the world so that type thing is to be expected I reckon.

I disagree
