being a dumb ol' girl!
I had a spike come in at dusk. I had no intentions of shooting him but the little turd just would not go away! I drew on him while sitting just to see if I could. Then, I stood up...again, just to see if I could get away with it. I did.
He stayed right at my 23 yard tree forever. I drew and held, waiting for him to turn just a little more. He did and I let the arrow fly.....right over his backside. He jumped, stomped a little and went back to eating the fruits of a squirrel's labor. I finally got another arrow on but he had moved to the thick area by then.
Did I mention I have my sight set on (you guessed it) 23 yards???

What went wrong?
I pushed it up and to the left. I held too long and I knew it but I have serious issues with letting down. :)

Could be. Any deer will cause my adrenaline to go out the roof. I'm like a hypothermic epileptic having an asthma attack. :D I'm working on that.

It had nothing to do with it but I had my phone in my left breast pocket. It started vibrating from an incoming call while I was at full draw. I almost laughed out loud.

Stik was calling to make sure you didn't connect before he did.. :D

Better put the phone on mute next hunt . One thing I do while holding at full draw for an extended time is not look through the peep or try to hold steady until it's time to aim . I have held for a few minutes this way and killed deer when they finally moved into position . If I tried to aim the whole time , I would have been shaking like a leaf .

It was on vibrate but that's not the best place to have it, I suppose. ;)
I will keep the aiming advice in mind. Thanks.
