Tough loss for the Vols. Played well enough to beat a solid team. I agree with Clark Kellogg that Tennessee could be dangerous in the tournament.

We need Fulkerson back at 100% bad. I'm no basketball genius but Plavsic seemed to be out of position on defense 90% of the time, can't rebound, and can't score. Other than that he's a superstar. I didn't realize how much Fulky did on defense and setting perfect screens. I'll never bad mouth him again.

Yeah we missed him for sure. Even if it was a game he ghosted on the stat sheet it would have probably kept James out of some foul trouble.
I don't know this team is just so Jekyll & Hyde, I can't say I'm surprised at all at today's result. It's a shame this team is too talented to play this way. The last two months we've let bad offense make us play bad defense. We didn't do that the first part of the year.
If we draw a 5 seed, ill expect us to be the 5 that gets picked off by the 12. If we don't, I expect we'll win the first game, lose the next. Cause that seems to be what we do.

I'm not taking up for him but you act like this doesn't happen in basketball... he should be suspended for a game but this is common is ball. Hate it happened and was the first to say he better be tossed.
Face fractures from purposeful elbows don't happen every day and possibly not every season although I can't verify that.
Intentional, flagrant elbows to the face don't happen often. Especially those that cause facial fractures. He might've ended the guy's career. One game isn't enough, and if he was wearing any other jersey you would agree.
Yea I'm sure there's some "roughing" up on the court every game but that wasn't a "roughing" up type move. It was so dang intentional and dangerous and I seriously thought Pons was going to come from the side and "check" the gator but he held back and didn't stoop to the level of the other player that just gave his teammate a cheap shot.

Yep fully was the bigger/better man and handled it with grace. Had surgery today

I watch a good bit of basketball, and multiple intentional elbows to the head in a possession is not common ball.... I think 99% of people would agree . Can anyone show me a clip or article form a college game this year that shows a player taking back to back elbows to the head that ended with one player on the ground with a concussion and facial fractures?
The guy had one thing on his mind hurt john pretty bad IMO and he did.

Exactly. And in the process he got Tennessee knocked out of the SEC tournament. If Fulky plays in the alabama game it's not even close.
