Last year had a bad turkey and deer season....NAILED a bird at 4:30 yesterday. I spent most of the day in the woods and then bam they were there about 100yds away at the edge of the field. I was set-up on a ridge and could barely see them except when they fanned out. Called softly to them, it took about 45min but they finally came up to me. I was in a tent and they came on my left side which had thick cover and I was set-up to shoot straight ahead into a little clearing. About 15 passed with no available shot. I figured I missed my chance and then I saw 2 more coming on the left thru a peep hole. 1 had about a 6in beard and the other was a big redheaded boss. I had about a min to think, I figured they would have veered to the left like the others. Decided the first head to show I was shooting, it was the 6in bird. Looking back maybe I should have waited.......big boy was a BIG BOSS. On the other hand I have something to eat and the rest of the season. My buddy owns the land and said they were back strutting just above where i was sitting at 6:30pm
