Monkey see monkey do….

I was stuck in the house all day Sunday & Monday and watched all the hunting & fishing shows I could find.
What would be awesome is if they put the 12-15 minutes of hunting or fishing at the start of the show and the remaining 15-18 minutes of commercials at the end. :D

I enjoy DIY hubter the best. The old guy. No sponsors, no catch phrase, no fancy camo, no cheesy glamour shots. He always hunts alone. He just says, " thats a good deer right there"
He's become my favorite too. I really enjoy watching his hunts.

That ^. I love that guy's approach and attitude. He's dedicated and un-animated, no drama. He just finds a place where he thinks a good deer might be and he hunts it. Even when he kills a whopper he'll smile a little in appreciation, but no circus acrobatics and pump like you'd see at a high school pep rally.

I can't stand watching any of the shows with the guys acting like sugared up toddlers. My dad taught us boys that hunting involves taking a life, and that's nothing to take lightly. Give the animal and the moment some respect. Plenty time to celebrate later with friends & family.

I really like the lower production videos with guys who's styles align more closely to normal every day hunters. More in to public bowhunting but it always cracks me up when my search yields a host of results where 185" deer are being killed on public. Always makes me question the validity.

I haven't watched any hunting shows in a long long time. I guess terminology could put off some. I hear and see people call bucks a stud, a tank, among several other words and it really doesn't bother me.
