Montana extends deer hunting season due to Chronic Wasting Disease concerns

The state's Fish, Wildlife and Parks department will run a deer hunting season from Dec. 11 through Feb. 15.

And deer will be piled up on a green food source if one is nearby. It will be a slaughter house if done carelessly.

For Units L & CWD in TN, I would much rather see an October antlerless firearms season of some sort. By December & January, many hunters have moved on to waterfowl or rabbits. I've never seen a truly successful late season.
