I was looking at your Grand Slam Turkey 935 shotgun in the 3.5 magnum. I did a Google search on the shotgun and I keep reading about a plastic spacer on the forearm keeps breaking rendering the shotgun inoperable except in single shot mode. Can anyone tell me if this issue has been resolved by Mossberg? I have notice in the last few years Mossberg have broaden their line of firearms and is becoming a major player in the market. I have owned Remington, Brownings, and Berettas shotguns for the most part and have been well pleased with those firearms. I do like the design of the Grand Slam Turkey 935 model with the short barrel; in particular I like the traditional stock (not big on the thumb-hole stocks and the cantilever systems on other turkey shotguns). Can anyone tell me their experience with the Mossberg 935 Semi-Auto Grand Slam Turkey chambered in the 3.5?

I have an older 935 and I love it. The plastic thing is a forearm retainer. I had my 935 for 5 or 6 yrs of 3-1/2" mag before it broke, I called Mossberg and they sent me 3 replacements free of charge. Took all of 3 minutes to take the forearm off and change the part. Problem solved.

If you buy it, call Mossberg as soon as you get home and tell them your firearm retainer busted they will send you one to have on hand

I've had my 935 Waterfowl Edition for 4-5 years now. Hopefully I'm not jinxin myself but I've had no problems at all with it. I just bought the 935 Turkey with pistol grip and 22 inch barrel.

I've got the grand slam model you are referring to. I've noticed the plastic piece and figured it would eventually wear or break. Hasn't yet. I like the gun but have an itch for a maxus. I would put the 935 on someone if they were interested.
