I went to Tennessee Clay Target Complex today to shoot my new Mossy 935 pistol grip 22" barrel. For those of you who shoot at Stones River, they no longer have the shotgun range off to the side anymore. After I finally got my Burris FF3 zoned in, I shot several different rounds thru a Jellyhead .690 and stock choke .695. All shots were from 30 yards. I also shot a few magblends from a box purchased this year. I wanted to see if I had the problems that others are reporting. I must say...the stock choke is pretty impressive.

Mag-Blends 3.5" Stock Choke .695

Mag-Blends 3.5" Jellyhead .690

Mag-Blend 3.5" (new box, bought this year) Jellyhead .690

Winchester X-tend Range 3.5" #5 Stock Choke .695

Never though about going out there. Great idea. Are you a member? If not what did they charge you?

I'm not a member and they didn't even charge me. It's not the most ideal place as the farthest I could shoot was 30 yards. However, they were super friendly and I won't complain.

Yea they are some good people. I go out there and shoot trap some time. Great patterns but they do look like they are shooting a little left. I have had excellent results with my 835 and factory XX full choke, Winchester Supreme #5's.

How did you like the 935 with the pistol grip?

LOVE it! I have a 935 Waterfowl edition in black with 26" barrel. Great gun but very heavy and bulky when in the turkey shooting position. Pistol grip and 22" barrel is much more comfortable. The only thing I don't like is now its harder to get to the safety.

The FF3 was initially dead on (see 1st pic) but the POI started to walk a little bit. I noticed that the mount nut was a little loose so I retighten it today and applied some of the real Loctite. I had some knock off brand stuff on it initially. Hopefully this will work.

Try a Kicks gobbling thunder .675 on that gun and you'll be amazed.

I have one of those somewhere in my junk box. I tried it on my other 935 Waterfowl gun and the patterns were absolutely horrible. Now that I have another 935, I need to go and dig it up.

i saw a guy shooting a kicks 660 today out of an 835...i didn't even know anyone shot one that tight in that gun but he said it was great with the turkey thugs. I don't see how its not so tight its a rifle at that point. Ive never seen anyone shoot less then a 670 in those guns but maybe folks do.
