i just got my 1-40 back from moultrie ,they said they could not repair it. so offered me a new cam at a great discount. which ended up being higher than i could buy one at the store. so i called back and they offerd me a better 1-35 cam at a great discount which i could buy on the web site for the same price any time . not to happy right now with moultie.. can anyone on here work on a moultrie cam ??????? the power switch is not working right and when u do get it to come on the shutter speed is slow when taking a pic.

As far as I know, no one repairs commercial trail-cameras. Even as expensive as they are, they are considered "throw away" items. When you have problems the manufacturer can't/won't fix, you throw the camera away and buy another one. I've got a closet full of dead trail-cameras.

Take one apart and look inside. I don't see how they ever get one to work. Blobs of solder all over the control boards. The Chinese who build them still use acid base solder so corrosion is everywhere. As BSK said a thousand times "they are disposable cameras and you get what you pay for" !!!

best advice. buy a bunch of the 37.00 dollar tascos off ebay. using for 2 or three years and replace them a they break. they are good cheap cameras and i can buy 5 for what one good one would cost

I would rather the bears eat 5 cheapos than 1 expensive.
Moultrie did me the same way on a d50

I had 2 D60 cams that paid over 150 ea. Less then a year they went bad, so i sent them everything back. I get a call about 3 weeks later saying they were junk and that they could offer me a less quality cam for almost what I could get a good one for. I told them it was under warranty still so they needed to fix them. Told me they weren't, even though my copy of the receipt showed it to be less then a year. We argued for 10 mins and I said, just send me them back. They wanted to charge me 30.00 to do it. I told them I wasn't paying it and to send them back now. I got them back, only it was just my cameras. the boxes and all the accs were gone. I call and argue with them again over that.

Told them I wanted to speak to a manager, got the she is on the phone, she will call you. I called back a few times and got she wasn't in her office, then I got she was off getting married, then she was on her honeymoon. So when I finally got her, I played the I care about her getting married deal, she ate that up and couldn't believe they didn't send me new cams since it was with in my warranty. Sent me 2 new upgraded IR versions. Got new cams 2 days later. I went on Ebay and sold all my Moultrie cams and made my money back. I will never use their products again.
