Ok I did a little looking and found an online owners manual.
First problem is my sd card is too big.
This camera takes a maximum size of 1 gb.

It does work at least, we took like 15 pics in handheld mode and all were solid white, nothing on them, but one had a picture on it.

Soooo I am gonna get another card and see what it will do.

It will be Sunday afternoon before I can put it out though.

Kind of a contest now, me against the camera. :D

I have had issues with cameras and SD cards. Wildgame Innovations said that they only recommended Lexar and Sandisk SD cards in their units. ANY other SD card would "lock-up" their cameras.

Might be worth an email to Moultrie customer service just to find out what brands of SD cards they recommend.

I run all Moultries, various models and I've never had a problem with card sizes or brands. Couldn't even tell you the brand or size in all mine right now. Don't know Ruger...?

I run Moultries and have use various SD cards in mine with no problems. Now my buddies Cuddebacks are nothing but issue after issue with SD cards.

Been there and done that. Batteries too.. Worst camera on the market next to Wildgame cameras..

"SD card lock-up" is a fancy way of manufacturers saying "Our Chinese cameras suck".

The brand of SD card should have no impact whatsoever on a camera's ability to function.

I agree with Wes. Throw the thing away and start over. When the next one goes bad, repeat the cycle. Trying to fix them, return them, etc., is just a waste of time and money.

I have used various models of Moultries and like the M80. I have found a few useful tips. Never use anything but Duracell and Everready.....rayovacs ruined a brand new one and never mix dura with ever.............and you will be happy. they just cause problems if you do.

Kirk is right, I spoke with Moultrie this week about my camera and they told me only Lexar or sandisk cards. Speaking of Moultrie, I use their products because they have the best customer service I have ever had to deal with. If they cant fix it over the phone you can send it back and they will take care of it. They have always did me right and acted like they really want to satisfy their customers

I have 3 of the m80's and have never had a single problem with SD cards. Bn using the 2gb sandisk cards and just boughta bunch of the 4gb cards from Ruthunter at a great price i might add! I run the Lithium batteries in all three and they are going on almost a year and a half on same ones with one having the least life left at about 80%!! Bought 2 of the D55ir and have only tested one so far. Bought 2 more of the same last weekend at a basspro clearance of $69/ea. Guess I'll see how the D55ir's work this season!

Guess I will email them.
Got another sd card (yeah try to find a 1 gb) and it still doesn't work.

Maybe they will send me a new one. :)
