What all do you guys do to take care of your mouth calls. I usually don't do anything. I have in the past kept them in the fridge or rinsed them off with mouthwash. I always pretty much used Hunter's Specialties. Sometimes I will go through more than one a season of the same call. I just bought a 3-pack of Woodhaven to try and those things were like $30. I really want to try and make these last all season.

i usually just wash mine out with water periodically and keep them in the fridge. after the season i clean them with soap and water and put them in a ziplok bag in the frig. for some of my older ones i put a toothpic between the reeds so they dont stick. i have had the same woodhaven calls for about 4 years and they are still in good shape.

also be careful using mouth wash. Sometimes mouthwash can break down the latex or reed material. soap and water works just fine just use a mild soap and rinse well. If you can use filtered water or bottled water to finish the rinse even better to keep the rock minerals out of it while you store them for the winter.

Keep in a cool dry place
like a refrigerator
That were I keep mine
To clean I use mouth wash to kill the germs
and then I rince with HOT Water to keep the
latex from sticking together

Last night, I got my Woodhaven Red Wasp out of my vest from last year. I then washed it with soap and hot water. Popped it in and, it sounded as good as the last time I called on it in mid May. Thought I might wake up with a sore throat this am, but the hot soapy water must have worked, I feel fine and called with it on the way to work this morning at all the turkeys driving down the highway :)
