I've had to move my rest close to the riser to get good tears through paper. In a matter of fact I have to turn my flecthing down to keep it from making contact with the cables. Anybody have to move their rest in close to the riser to get good tears? The chronograph does not seem to help with this one :)

Now your arrow is not coming off the rest sideways you should pick up a very valuable 1-2fps! LOL :D

Yes, if it is not setup correctly. On most every Mathews the arrow should be centered at 12/16ths off of the risergive or take 1/16th either side, and the arrow should be centered of the berger hole nock up 1/8th" to 1/4" with a bow square. As long as your cams are in time, and your spined correctly you should have a bullet hole at 6ft and 10yds.

Now that you have a good tear, I would strongly advise you to walk back tune and broadhead tune. Heck, you might even pick up an additional 1-2fps doing that as well. ;)

i do not worry with paper i only walkback tun my broadheads and every thing falls into place, those little holes in paper can give false readings

:D Thanks...I will walk back tune soon as I get time. I have been able to group the arrows with field points, just haven't shot broadheads and I've never had to tune my fletching to get proper clearance.

I get false readings on paper sometimes . I'd rather walk back tune and go from there . Are your arrows spined correctly ? Sometimes arrow spine will reflect a tear in paper that cannot be adjusted out by moving the center shot . Same with cam lean and cam rollover or timing that can effect nock travel .

There is also a good link to broadhead tuning on the above link.

I have not checked cam rollover but I am spined correctly. I'm shooting a 300 spine arrow. I am going to walk back tune today.
What is your draw weight , also the cut length of your arrow shafts , and the tip weight ?

70 lbs 27.5" 100 grain Monster MR6...spine matched by OT2 and TAP Pro...340 spine is too weak. 300 spine is slightly stiff which I like. I'm not too worried about it...this just happened at Secret Squirrels from 28 yards. The bow is grouping nicely.

You forgot about the noise you have in your sight and your wrist strap needing to be adjusted. He was stacking them in there pretty good. You have to love how big my blob target is for walk back tuning.

Expensive way to spend your lunch!

What size is your Blob?

Yep, that Blog target is sweet! My sight's scope/sight housing is noisy and could use some little Limbsavers. The sight housing is much further from the riser as conventional multi pin hunting sights, thus causing the racket. I will pick some up at BPS tomorrow.

Here is a pic of the sight. It is a GREAT single pin sight but since the housing is pretty far out from the riser the vibrations from the shot translate into noise.
