Muck Snake Boots

They sure are proud of them. I've been turkey hunting in my Muck Fieldblazers but last year bought a pair of snake gaitors from academy sports for about $30 or $40. I put them on a few times over the Mucks and they were comfortable so im thinking about finding a lightweight waterproof hiking boot (if that exists) and using the gaitors.

My mucks are too hot for turkey hunting due to the amount of activity when compared to deer hunting. I have bought all kinds of boots for turkey hunting and the best I have found is regular lacrosse burley's. they are not snake proof but I just don't see the need. my two cents.

I had Lacrosse Alpha Burly Sports before the fieldblazers and they're both about the same in the hot department.

No where I hunt around here could you even consider wearing a boot without serious ankle support and very aggressive soles. Down south they would work fine, but Much boots would be hot as fire I have to imagine.

Check out the Lacrosse Adder and Lacrosse Venom snake boots on Amazon.com. Both have really good reviews. I think the Irish Setter Vaprtrek is also a pretty good looking snake boot. I have Irish Setter Mountain Claw Viper snake boots and they are awesome. However, they were discontinued a couple of years ago. I'm not sure why because they are great.

Overall best snake boots I've ever had. On my 2nd pair now, and wish had bought another before they stopped making them. Absolutely great hiking boots and very lightweight.

my bad - Grange. They have fit well in the ankle but I don't hunt hilly country - they are always waterproof and I can wade small creeks with no wet feet. I bought a pair of Russell Moccasin and they leaked. The grange are easy to tuck your pants in and help with ticks and chiggers as well. The first pair of grange I bought were made in America and now they are from overseas.
