my 10 yr old son passed up a jake!!!!!!!

CJ my 10 yr old son passed up a jake at 22yds saturday morning on juvenile hunt. He has only killed one bird ever and it was a jake and that was last year. I told him to shoot and he said " no I will wait for a bigger one and let that one live until next year". I said ok, but you can bust him and he said nah. Dude I cant say I wouldnt have shot him because I like to eat them, would rather have a big tom but sometimes you take what you can get. I am so Proud of him, He taught me a lesson. Man I love that boy :grin: :grin: :grin: :grin: :grin: :grin: :grin:

My son would have killed him dead and hes only killed one three years ago. LOL Its funny though because on deer he won't shoot a small buck so they can grow.

I would have smoked him! And I've killed a bunch. But,when you are long in the tooth, you do not wait until next year! lol

Different deal with deer, though. I only shoot "rack bucks" no longer any spikes or forks. Or does! Everybody has their own philosophy.
