Will be this weekend to chase a tom. Any advice on successful ridge country turkey tactics is appreciated. Ive only got experience on toms who are drowning from MS backwater and flat ground

Hunt sign and hope you can call in a bird that doesn't gobble. The second bit of advice is to sleep in and head out about 9am. By that time some of the run and gun cowboys have given up. If you can get one to gobble mid-morning, then there is a "slight" chance you can work him in without some googan screwing you up.

Theres a much smaller wma I guarantee will rival it
A lot of land and very few birds. That naturally concentrates people.Bgoodman30":336qnjtz said:Is it really that bad? How many 10's of thousands of acres is LBL? I have been able to find plenty of space on crowded WMA's that are much smaller?

That tom gobbled up 3 different hunters. Though I was not able to get drawed back on him, my buddy was able to get him with the shotgun.

Heard one bird gobble one time, 2 miles away, one shot. Back in the day it was nothing to hear 8-10 a morning. Weather wasnt good at daylite, but still thought ld hear a few. Covered sev miles, never cut any sign. Just not sure about population now at LBL.
