My homemade gear hanger for saddle hunting.

Got a pic of how you're hanging the gun on the tree? Looks like you're using a saddle.

I didn't want to hijack the "Live from the stand" thread.

I made these hangers out of Amsteel and the metal legs off of an old plastic yard sign we had.

I made an extension to use in case the tree is too big for it to go around. I rarely need the extension, but have used it a few tines.

I hang my weapon, backpack, and quiver when bow hunting from these. I really like the simplicity of them and not having to have an added hook to be able to use a daisy chain type system.

What y'all got for hanging y'all's gear when saddle hunting? I like learning new ideas from others!!

I added a longer 3-d printed hook to hang my bow with quiver attached, when i bought my strap they were like 6 bucks

So that is VERY close to how I hung a bow but never hung a rifle. Interesting. Thanks for posting!

I've used a screw in type forever but just bought this but haven't used it yet. Figured it would be much easier to put on the tree.

Hope they have improved the quality. I had a set like that and broke one first hunt I used them. The metal was very thin. That's what made me build the above hooks. Hopefully you will have better luck with them.

I like it! Though I'd have more hooks per rope
