That is exactly what i intended to do in one of my spots this year in a 3 acre field. The corn outer rim was to be about 2 acres with the remaining 1 acre being beans. I think it's a great idea for Summer and Winter feeding but unfortunately I never got to plant mine because of water. I'm anxious to know how well it works out for you.

My hunting partner & I set it up. There is about 150 acres of corn on the outer edge of our property. We planted this in an inside pocket in the woods about 100 yrds from the main fields. We are also going to plant 2-2 acre plots in the main crop fields after the farmer takes the corn out in Biologic Maximum, winter peas and oats. That will be the only green forage for miles and we will have the bean and corn plot standing. Hope it works out. We have about 130 acres of timber between 1000 acres of woods and the main crop fields. Maybe we can bring them from long distances in the winter months with all the available food!
