I bought my wife a bow last summer. She shot a little but couldn't see out of the cheap peep that came with the bow. Well she has been itching to shoot again so I got her a new peep and had it put on Friday. Today, we got out there before the rain and did a little practice. It wasn't long until her form looked great. I really enjoyed it and think that she did too.
Here's my "perfect form" ;)

another lefty!! teach her to shoot with both eyes open and watch those groups tighten up.

Whoa, seriously, I've never heard that before?

Yes sir! I tried it last year and was amazed at how my groups shrunk! I shoot with both eyes open now. Another big advantage I found is I was able to watch my arrow all the way to the target. It made it easy this past deer season to tell where my arrow had hit the deer.

Back to the original post! That is very cool! Glad she likes the sport!

Absoulutley ! Shoot with both eyes open ! Her groups will get alot better over time ! It will take some getting use too ! Everyone is geared to close one eye to aim, but shooting and aiming a bow is no diffrent than aiming a shotgun !

Concentrate on the spot you want to hit! The pin should be floating on that spot ! Stare at the spot, not the pin !

Of course this way is not for everyone, and takes time to get comfortable with it, But in my opinion is the proper way to aim !
And it's better to have her form good habits now, instead of breaking bad habits later !

Also have her stand more upright, watch her head, It looks like from your pic that she's moving her head to the string ! (Heads kind of leaning towards the string) And it seems she is leaning back, which has her body in a S shape ! Work with her to have her stand more erect, and straight, and everything should fall into place ! Not downing her at all ! Overall she has good form, just a few things I noticed that can be fixed, and better now than when a habit is formed !

It's great to see women get in the sport, It's alot better than shooting with a bunch of old beer drinking dudes ! HA HA HA

Oh and good choice of bows for her ! My son has the same one, and they are shooters !

Is this "shooting with both eyes open" only for left handers, or should everyone try it?

NO this is for everyone ! BUT it really goes down to personal preference ! For me
Two eyes open = let pin float, just focus on X as you look through the pin, Suprise release, Good shot.

One eye open = focusing on the pin, over-aiming, timing the shot, anxiety, and a bad shot !

There is no one right way to aim, but shooting anything with both eyes open gives you a better field of view, better periphial vision (Speeling?) allows you to follow your shot better, and gives you better vision in hunting situations !

Now some people will find it difficult to shoot this way especially if they are not shooting the side for there dominate eye (Right eye Dominate shooting left handed) this individuals will find it difficult !

Some people also say they can't focus on there pin, But actually if your aiming correctly you should focus on the spot you want to hit, and the pin should be in your seconadary vision, and floating on the spot ! Basically looking thru the pin !
Your shooting the spot, NOT the pin !!!

Like I said before, It's not for everyone, but if you work with it, I know your groups will improve, and if nothing else give you a better field of view while hunting .

Pretty good summary of what most experience.

We both tried shooting both eyes open this weekend, No Luck. I could not get used to it. I was seeing two sight rings, one target. My wife said she couldn't see it either. We still had a great time. She is still getting the bow dialed in and I'm easing up on the poundage for her.
