Three days this week and three days next week I'll be off work taking a bunch of kids out after their first turkey. I split the days up into two three hour hunts, from daylight till nine and nine till noon. Some will have dad's with them to experience their first hunt as well. Thankfully all the farms I have permission to hunt on are pretty close to one another. Things have been pretty quite on the scouting trips I've done, but the farms I have are historically loaded up with turkeys so we'll see starting tomorrow!

Complete silence the whole morning. Not unheard of, but RARE on this farm.

Was it foggy?
I had pretty dense fog and didn't hear anything either.
But, I did see one with hens that I will be after tomorrow and I was driving out. Had I not had to come to work I would have given him a go.
I also saw a piebald deer on the drive back, so it was a great outing to have not heard anything.
