My son got his first turkey!

We went out this evening and the wind was blowing bad on the ridge we were on. We moved around several times just seeing a few hens. Finally I seen a strutter on the next ridge over about 400 yards on the neighboring property. I called at him a few times with my mouth call but the wind was so high he never heard me. I broke out the old box call and yelp loud and he hammered. I gave it a few minutes and made another series of yelp he hammered and started coming. He came in to 20 yards and 20 gauge 870 hit him hard. 9 inch beard 7/8 inch Spurs 20 pounds.

yup, sure looks like a future turkey killer.... in a couple of years he won't even let you blow a call, he'll want to do it all himself
