It used to be that young, talented drivers had to spend their first years in Cup racing in crappy cars, racing for 20th.They made their mistakes by crashing out crappy drivers while learning the limits of their cars. These days, they get great cars, and their mistakes happen at the front of the pack, where everyone sees it.Kyle has all the talent in the world, but once he learns his limitations,he will be great. The only young driver I remember who learned any other way was Jeff Gordon, who learned by following Dale,SR,and watching everything he did.IMO,the only reason Kyle gets booed so much is because he's the younger brother of Kurt.Kyle rocks, and will only get better.

I think you are correct. Kyle has talent, and once he figures out when to go and when to hold back... he will be onto something. I am still glad he is out of the Hendrick camp! Rick will soon realize what a mistake he made by letting him go to obtain a driver with popularity rather than raw talent.

Even Hendrick said that he would've kept Kyle if he had behaved in the first part of the season like he did in the 2nd half.Jeff Burton respects Kyle.So does Mark Martin. That's good enough for me.BTW,I just ordered a Kyle t-shirt.

He has the talent to become one of the top drivers, but I really don't care for his smart#$$ attitude and remarks. He needs to learn that he's not as popular as JR and not going to be for sometime if ever. It will be interesting to see if some of the other drivers give him any slack if they have a close call with him during a race.

I don't think he will get much slack. Except from the goodie- goodies like Jeff Burton and Mark Martin.

Jeff Said he had respect for Kyle, and that Kyle has always raced him clean. I suppose that is true of Kyle wouldnt have won Bristol last year in the first car of tomorrow race.

Kyle will easily climb to the top, now he is in a car other than the 4th car of Hendrick which contimues to prove only to be a test car each week for the other 3 drivers.

Well,
The "sad" news about him is that he won in that car last year that JR has failed to win in yet.

Then he switched owners, switched teams, switched car makes, and continues to win. While he in controversial to say the least, I still bet you Rick Hendrick is smacking his forehead a lot these days!!!!!!!!!!

I really doubt, it with the fan base that came with JR. Just the sell of all the JR crap will make more then Kyle ever would. Its not about winning races its about the money.

Jack Roush released his brother Kurt and said he was a talented driver , but wasn't worth the headaches . In other words , It's hard to deal with the egocentric jerks. Last night while leading the race , Kyle said his car was the worst he has ever driven , demoralizing his team in the process . Larry Mac. , along with the other commentators critized him on the air .
Kyle is a good driver , but a spoiled brat , and a jerk .

ALL 3 are in top 10 in points with a LONG way to go. ;)

Pretty good test cars too me !! :D

MY Point exactly... where is the number 5 car? That FOURTH Hendrick car has been a test car... I am just glad at least JR is carrying the banner for Hendrick this year (So Far) Like you said there is still a long way to go.

looks like the youngun is kickin butt in diffrent types of race cars, hard to knock a fellar thats winning alot with any rational argument :) mike243

Good Point there! Like him or not... he sure is finishing up front of our favorites lately!

Terry Labonte did well in the number 5 (test car?) . ;)

Not saying the #5 car in particular is a test car... just the fourth car that doesnt have a "star" driving it. But since you mentioned Terry... I liked him, and the only time he was actually competitive was in a HMS car... however, I dont think racing almost 30 years in the top cirucit of racing and winning only 22 races would qualify him as a great in the sport, none the less the Hall of Fame he got.

Let me ask... if you were Rick, would you extend Caseys contract at the end of 09?
AND/OR if you were Casey would you continue to drive for probably the best "team" in Nascar without winning races? Casey struggles staying inside the top 35 in points... He has all the resources available to a driver. You should be able to pick any driver from any week...put him in a HMS car, and he should win at least a couple races with the time Casey has had on that team.

If I were Rick, I wouldn't have got rid of a guy that had proved he could run up front and win (bush) and kept a guy that had been in the sport for some years and had never done anything (casey).

He's a good driver, but I wonder what his attitude is like off the track as well. With the success he's having this year, I just wonder if his hat size has gotten a little bigger? Look at some of the other pro sports that a few of the top players where bounced around because no one wanted to deal with the attitude, got to want a team player.
