I got pics of one of the bigger bucks we've seen in the bean field I keep mentioning. Him, a wrap-around beam 8, and two little deer. Also got turkey, coyote, possum, coon, and squirrel.

If he's the 8 I thought might hit 140, I was off.. we seen 16 bucks in the field two days ago so who knows

Hope he lives to grow.. I love his main beams!

Two other bucks.. the smaller 8 from the trail cam was actually just to the left of the 8 in this pic

We usually see about 15 of these in the field too.

The deer and turkey didn't even eat the corn!.. the ones with their heaads down are in the lick I made.

I think this is the big one last year

How old do you think your big one "hit" buck is?

Nice pics.

Very, very difficult to age at this time of year, but if forced to guess I would say 2.5-4.5, probably in the middle. I like to watch deer grow up, especially above average deer, but he will make for a wallhanger first bow buck. He probably won't meet my P&Y goal, but I ain't complaining.

Would you agree with 120" and 3.5?

Wes, do you think I'm right on the little buck being him last year? Also how old do you think he is? You are wayyy better at summer buck judging than I am lol

Great buck MC. But those could be different bucks in the field. Man I can't wait to see what's in the cams

I'm thinking there are at least five different 120+ bucks including the one from the field pic and this one. Bad thing is others have caught on to the field. You probably know as well as I do.. Henderson County is full of low life road riders so some will likely be lost to that. This is the property where I've found several skulls of deer shot and left laying in the thickets.

Best of luck killing him MC. Maybe put an arrow in one of those turkeys too. You are missing out :D

Shoot a nasty bird in my hunting spot? Sir have you lost your mind? lol kidding.. I might shoot one.. MIGHT.

I am going to attempt to get permission on a 130 acre property that is on the other side of the field. It is where the deer primarily walk out of and has some very good timber so it will liklely provide a nice alternative food source during the fall. The best part about the property I already have permission on is it is 15 acre thickett/sanctuary (bigger than I thought it was) with a 1.5 acre forrest of mature oak trees between the sanctuary and field so deer tend to use it when the acorns get good right before dark and then will walk into the field at night.

I want permission on more land around the field because there is only room to hang one stand on what I already have to hunt. That will get overpressured bery easily. It also would be nice to get on the trail they walk into the field. If I could find a tree with enough cover and wait until the wind was right, that would be my best chance at actually killing a big deer this year.

Good luck with permission, that sounds like a prime spot. And kill you a darn turkey! :D

Here's another pic from last year. I actually want to say he could have been 1.5 last year. I hate summer buck bodies.. too darn tricky. Anyone want to age guess the buck?
