So I got drawn for a hunt this week and only had yesterday evening and Saturday to hunt. Yesterday my wife was off work and wanted to go with me but I wasn't really confident about the hunt cuz the wind was blowin at 23mph and Knew we weren't gonna be able to hear a thing. Anyway after we got to the road I was hunting off of we started noticing alot of gobbler and hen tracks in the road. I would stop in the clearings and try to see if the wind would ever die enough for me to try to locate one. The wind never would die and I pretty much was ready to go and just come back Saturday morning to hunt. My wife still fired up said let's just walk around that bend in the road up there and maybe the wind will die and we might hear one. Laughing inside I said ok. So we walked approx 75 more yds up the road as I was lookin at the ground for more gobbler tracks she hit me in the arm and said get down. She said she just seen a turkey 50yds in the woods. So I told her to stay down and I eased over over a lil mound of dirt to see a gobbler strutting about 45yds away. He went behind a tree and I was able to crawl about another 5yds to him. Soon as I layed down on my gun I clicked the safety off and make a couple yelps he came out from the other side of the tree just in line with my gun barrel. I shot him at 45yds. 10 in beard 1' spurs 19 lbs. We were both fired up. She pretty much did everything but pull the trigger. I couldn't believe it. She's a pretty good guide and I owe her big time
