Im hunting one end of a 360 acre farm. I have 5 trail cams out and was getting a stream of deer pics.
Suddenly the deer seem to have dissapeered.
My buddy is hunting the other end of this big farm and says they have dissapeered off his cams too.

Any clues as to whats going on?
The acorns are falling heavy. Is that it?

Fall range shift. You were getting steady pictures of deer still in their summer patterns. Now somebody else is getting a stream of deer they have never seen before.

Dumb question.....so what to do?
Just move where your cameras are positioned . Where are your cameras set right now ? Over salt or minerals ?

I transition all of my cameras to funnel areas and scrapes about right now .

Thanks for your reply. My cameras are positioned at the classic deer hotspots on the farm I hunt and the classic routes they use to get to those hot spots.

I found one rub line (3 trees rubbed close together in a straight line) with a scrape at the first tree. I do plan on putting a cam there.

I haven't been getting any frequent buck pics until last week. All under oak trees and hitting salt blocks and acorns. Try food sources first!
