I am thinking about giving NT a try during turkey season. I will be hunting the North. I have never stepped foot on the place. Any advice would be appreciated. Anywhere online to find any good maps of the hunting area? How crowded can I expect?

I got a map of the area from TWRA, which I assume are still available. There are turkeys everywhere, just pick you a trail and scout it out. I have not hunted there since the quota hunts have been abandoned, so I could not say about the crowding, since it has become concurrent with the statewide season. However, the reason that the quota setup was dropped was because it was crowded when turkeys were not so widespread. Now that they are, and just about everybody has access to huntable private property, the TWRA saw no further need for quotas, so I suspect that crowding wont be a problem. If it is in the area you choose, just move down the road and the problem will probably be solved.

I come from Jackson and get off at Parkers Crossroads(exit 108). I either go over to Wildersville, if I'm hunting South or to exit 116 if I'm hunting North. I can't give you all of the fine tuning if you are coming in from the North.

Are there trails all through it? I plan on hunting the north. Coming from Mckenzie/Huntingdon what would you guys suggest the best way to come in from?
The south side has alot more established trails than the north.Coming in from Huntington take 114 there are several roads that go into and thru it.Dollar Rd goes in and out of it.
