Natchez Trace

I haven't turkey hunted in several years and have no private ground to hunt. I'm thinking about trying Natchez Trace this spring. Anybody else want to give it a try?

I'm not familiar with that area at all. It's not a draw? It's completely open to anyone? Not sure I've heard of people hunting it

Right now, as far as I know it's open statewide. I deer hunted there a long time ago and always bumped a few birds.

The trails are open to ATV's so be prepared to get off the roads a ways.

I hunt The Trace every year. My property borders it.

TL... How's the turkey population on Natchez?

Good population......Has its ups and downs like anywhere else. Not too crowded, especially in the late part of the season.

The birds are not easy but will respond to calling. Seems like the South side has more birds than the North side but it is pretty close.

I'm in hunted it twice last year got on birds both times
